Introducing Thulisa Naturals, a bath and body brand now available at our boutique. We spoke with the founder, Anusha, to get insight into their product line, from the inspiration behind their formulations to the quality ingredients that make each item stand out. Here's what Anusha had to share.

1. What sparked the creation of your brand, and how has your vision evolved?
The creation of Thulisa Naturals was inspired by a combination of my South African roots and my own need for balance and self-care. "Thulisa" means "bringer of peace," which perfectly represents what I wanted these products to do for others—bring a sense of calm in the chaos. Initially, I just wanted to create something that would help people relax and unwind, but over time, it’s become more than that. Now, our mission is about creating everyday rituals that nurture both the body and mind, all while staying sustainable and giving back to communities in South Africa.

2. Is there a product in your lineup that has a unique backstory?
Absolutely! Our shower steamers hold a special place in my heart because they were born from my experience. As a busy mom, I often found myself short on time for self-care, and taking long baths wasn’t realistic. I wanted something that could transform a quick shower into a moment of peace. Seeing how much customers love them, and how they’ve become a core part of people’s self-care routines, really means a lot to me.

3. What’s been a standout moment for you as a creator?
There have been many, but one that stands out was when we were featured in a holiday gift guide—it was such an exciting moment to see Thulisa Naturals in the spotlight! More than that, though, it’s the personal feedback from customers that sticks with me. Hearing stories about how our products helped them find a little peace during tough times makes all the hard work worth it.

4. How do you keep innovating in this competitive landscape?
For me, innovation is all about staying connected with our customers and continuing to offer something that genuinely enhances their lives. I’m constantly experimenting with new scent combinations and product ideas to keep things fresh. At the same time, I stay true to our values—using natural ingredients, sustainable practices, and creating a little slice of luxury in everyday moments. I also keep thinking about how we can do more for the communities we support in South Africa, which drives me to keep evolving.

5. Any upcoming projects or products you’re excited about?
Yes! We’re working on expanding our product range, including a limited-edition holiday collection that’s going to be perfect for gift-giving or just treating yourself. I’m really excited about the new scents we’re developing—they’re going to add a whole new dimension to our wellness lineup.
